Imagine a five-year-old child learning to pray not only for their own family and community, but also for children around the world who are persecuted for following Jesus. Imagine that child praying for people who have never heard the name of Jesus and for missionaries willing to leave home, learn new languages and cultures, and faithfully share the hope of the gospel. Then imagine that child continuing those prayers throughout their lifetime.

The vision Archbishop Foley Beach cast in 2014 continues to grow today through dioceses, congregations, and faithful leaders who believe the Church is called to take the name of Jesus to the ends of the earth. I can personally testify that the church’s involvement in global mission is life-giving to the sending church. At CTK because of our cross-cultural worker relationships our prayer life is more vibrant, our vision is keen for the lost, and we are reminded weekly that God’s purposes are global.  Regular communication, prayer, and advocacy for the unreached have changed the way we worship and the way we think about our own community. Not all are called to go, but all of us are called to participate in God’s Global Mission.

A recent visit to Brazil revealed a powerful vision for global mission: raising up and sending the next generation of cross-cultural workers. As partnerships grow between Brazil and the U.S., one truth becomes clear, we are in this together.

Gathering with peers in missions and outreach in your dioceses can be very powerful. Bringing together “kindred spirits” results In deep friendships and greater Kingdom impact – across the street and around the world.

The ministry of the Order of the Daughters of the Holy Cross extends far beyond their own chapters and churches. Through the In Christ Alone Fund, members and supporters help empower women and girls to serve Christ around the world. These donations provide grants for mission work and ministry opportunities that are transforming lives through the gospel.

What began with meals and simple acts of kindness in Puerto Valdivia, Colombia, has grown into a story of deep relationship, restored dignity, and lasting transformation. Through Mission Colombia, children are receiving nourishment, families are finding hope, women are gaining vocational skills, and communities are experiencing the love of Christ in tangible ways. From sidewalk chalk and Children’s Day celebrations to a thriving community kitchen and a new sewing school, God is restoring joy where hardship once prevailed. Three years after first arriving in a struggling neighborhood, Mission Colombia is witnessing faith, stability, and hope take root in powerful ways.

At the New Wineskins Hope for the Nations 2025 Conference, The Order of the Daughters of the Holy Cross donated funds for 30,000 meals to be packed by attendees with Kids Around the World. Through the partnership with tBishop Godfrey Loum from the Diocese of Northern Uganda and Christ Church Child and Youth Development Center these meals were received and used to address urgent nutritional and health needs. What a beautiful way for the body of Christ to come together to meet the needs of children!

Through the Brick Kiln Freedom Mission Project in Pakistan, Glee Ministry is helping families escape cycles of debt bondage and rebuild their lives with dignity and hope. By providing food assistance, education, vocational training, women’s empowerment programs, and Gospel-centered discipleship, the ministry is walking alongside rescued families on their journey toward lasting transformation. One young boy’s story of learning tailoring skills and later teaching others reflects how practical support and the hope of Christ can multiply into generational change.
