Calling All Prayer Ministers for New Wineskins 2025

The New Wineskins Conference, only 5 weeks away, brings people together from all over the world. Many of them desperately need prayer. Some are missionaries serving in the most difficult mission fields – places of poverty, spiritual oppression, and even violence. Others are serving in churches in our province who also need a touch from the Lord.

If you have experience in prayer ministry, will you consider helping to meet this need by being part of the team that prays for them in person? We’ve seen many breakthroughs in this ministry!

At NWC, we offer hands-on prayer after every plenary talk. After each session concludes, our prayer team, with their badges identifying them, move to the front of Spilman Auditorium to pray for anyone who comes forward with a need. While we’d like to pray in teams of two prayer ministers, the need is too overwhelming, so we pray 1 on 1. Even then, we need 200 experienced prayer ministers for this year’s conference. Dear Lord, send more laborers!

Plenary session prayer is our main job, but we also offer longer, personal prayer appointments, both in person and by zoom. In person appointments will take place on Thursday and Friday afternoons, and are drop-in, as prayer teams of 2 are available. We need experienced prayer ministers for this as well. Zoom prayer appointments are available to be scheduled through the Order of St. Luke’s website, not only at the Conference, but year-round. Check it out here.

Two hours of training/orientation are required to serve – one by zoom in early September, and one in person on Wednesday afternoon just before the Conference starts. If you are moved to serve in this way, and are not known by our team from past conferences, we will also need a written pastoral recommendation for you.

More training is available at our pre-conference, Plug into the Power. This runs from Tuesday morning to Wednesday afternoon just before the conference. This pre-conference is not required for prayer ministers at the Conference, but it is recommended for anyone who wants to learn more about healing prayer, or to receive a touch from the Lord.
