2025 - A Year of Blessings!

Worship during Plenary Session

As 2025 draws to a close, we at New Wineskins Missions Network pause with deep gratitude to reflect on the many ways God has been at work through this ministry as a result of your faithful prayers, partnership, and generosity. Together, we have seen the global Anglican Church strengthened, mobilized, and united for the sake of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The highlight of this year was our Hope for the Nations Conference, with more than 1,500 participants from over 60 countries. New Wineskins 2025 featured 22 speakers, 70 exhibitors, and 90 MAP Talks (Mission Awareness Presentations). New this year were meaningful opportunities for arts integration and a special emphasis on SAMS and AFM, our Gold Sponsor sending agencies. Also, in partnership with Kids Around the World, attendees joined in packing 30,000 meals for families in Gulu, Uganda, an inspiring act of compassion done as a global body. We all agreed that this was our best conference ever, but the key was the increase in the amount of intercession that covered us so fully - thank you for your prayers!

Art Integration - Praying for the Persecuted church by Dandelion Ministries‍ ‍

In a room with 1,500 Christians representing more than 60 countries, (and more of God’s creatures wearing collars than the Westminster Dog Show) the Holy Spirit’s presence was palpable at every moment, and in every corner of this holy mountainside. New Wineskins was astonishingly well planned, well organized, and well executed. The music was phenomenal and deeply moving. Emcee and executive director Jenny Noyes is charming, funny, energetic, and exactly where God has led her. The great commission from Matthew 28:19-20 coursed through every moment of this gathering. I found it exhilarating that scripture was foundational to each and every speaker’s presentation—even in a theologically sound homily from child preacher Daniel Booman (who is from our own Diocese). Being a grade-school music teacher, I’ve witnessed countless standing ovations for child performers from well-meaning parents, but I can honestly report that no 11-year-old since Mozart has better deserved his standing ovation than Daniel!

Youth during worship

We were particularly encouraged by the participation of the next generation, including an 11-year-old who preached to thousands from the main stage. Over 200 children and youth under the age of 18 engaged in age-appropriate missions programming based on our Anglican Introduction to Missions curriculum. Through interactive teaching and prayer, these young disciples learned that they too are called to know and share Jesus, and play an essential role in God’s global mission. This year, we had more students from multiple universities attend than ever before. We also launched our RoleCall Program, a nine-month cross-cultural apprenticeship, designed to help young adults find their role in God’s call, perhaps even to long-term missions! Pray for the three apprentices that are in the field now. We believe this initiative will have a lasting impact, as it raises up a new generation of missions leaders and cross-cultural witnesses for Christ.

Anglican Persecuted Church Network IDOP gather in California

Throughout 2025, we continued to strengthen our Anglican Networks, each dedicated to a specific area of missional engagement:

  • Anglican Creation Care Network

  • Anglican Freedom Network

  • Anglican Healing in Mission Network

  • Anglican International Student Ministry Network

  • Anglican Persecuted Church Network

  • Anglican Prayer for All Nations Network

These networks provide strategic opportunities for participants to collaborate, pray, and share resources across the global Anglican Communion.

Our monthly Anglicans in Prayer e-newsletter continues to connect believers worldwide in intercession. Each issue features one of our Anglican Partner agencies, as well as a testimony of how prayer is transforming lives and ministries, with a particular focus on the Persecuted Church. The inclusion of a Children’s Corner encourages families to engage together in prayer for global missions—nurturing a lifelong commitment to intercession among the youngest members of our Church.

Even the babies got a taste of world mission!

Our Anglican Introduction to Missions (AIM) Course is gaining momentum in our local congregations, and we will soon release an updated edition through Amazon. In addition, we plan to produce a children’s version of AIM and a guide to effective global partnership. These ideas for new resources grow out of the collaborative efforts of the New Wineskins Anglican Partners, a network now made up of nearly 60 Anglican ministries and dioceses.

As we reflect on this fruitful year, we are profoundly aware that none of this would be possible without your partnership. Your generosity enables us to mobilize the global church for global missions. Our 111 Patron Club, made up of those who give at least $111/month, is helping us to expand our base of committed financial partners who want to ensure that New Wineskins continues its missions-equipping role for the foreseeable future. Would you prayerfully consider joining the 111 Patron Club?

We are grateful for every gift, every prayer, and every volunteer effort. As we look ahead to 2026, we invite you to continue standing with us in this vital work. Your year-end gift will help sustain and expand these initiatives, thereby ensuring that every Anglican is equipped to participate in God’s global mission. Thank you, and God bless you!
