Who is an Affinity Connect for?
Affinity Connects are for people who work, professionally or as volunteers or in ministry, in a field of outreach and service, caring for the afflicted, the vulnerable, or "the least of these." Affinity Connects offer a chance to learn, share stories, encourage, and pray for each other.
Why should I join an Affinity Connect?
We are strengthened when we know we aren’t alone in this work. We all need cross-pollination and fresh ideas, as well as to be followers of Christ together. This is what M25i Affinity Connects are all about.
What arenas of work does an Affinity Connect include?
Those listed above as well as social workers, public health professionals, trauma therapists, retired missionaries serving "back home," hospice and nursing home caregivers, and those in roles that serve the vulnerable and are weary and long for prayer covering.
About Our Speaker
Learn from Rev. Patti Brown, a Deacon in the Diocese of the Mid-Atlantic. She will share her honest experience helping build the Lamb Center, a daytime drop-in shelter for individuals experiencing homelessness in Fairfax, VA, and encourage participants to see God’s faithfulness to change lives in our small steps of obedience. She knows what it is to love on the margins of "acceptable company" and has encountered Jesus there.
