The kingdom of God is a great harvest, and through the Society of Anglican Missionaries and Senders (SAMS), believers are invited to join in their global work. SAMS supports and sends missionaries to share the Gospel across cultures and contexts. Together with global church leaders, missionaries serve as co-laborers, strengthened through shared wisdom and purpose. As the harvest remains plentiful, SAMS calls the Church to pray for and raise up new workers to bring the hope of Christ to every nation.

A year ago this week, 1,600 of us from 65 nations were gathered at Ridgecrest for the New Wineskins Global Mission Conference! Our theme of One Mission encouraged everyone, young and old alike, to pray into how God was calling them to Be the one, See the one, and Share the One True God!

The Jesus Revolution will hit theatres Feb. 24, telling the story of the Jesus People Movement, which roared to life in 1970. Other famous revivals include America’s First and Second Great Awakenings, the Brownsville revival and Azusa Street. There’s the 100-year prayer meeting of the Moravians. I’m aware of Christian leaders researching the significance of revivals including the Asbury College Revival, Cane Ridge, and the great Welsh Revival. But we don’t hear so much about the East African Revival, which ignited in 1929 and lasted for decades.

When the war in Ukraine burst upon the global stage, many Americans were stunned by the tragic events occurring there. Even in distant places like Rwanda, reports of the Ukrainians’ blistering reality spiraled out like shock waves into their homes.…

Though our food distribution project is now dwindling, ministry opportunities, which emerged from it, are just beginning. Meet Speciose, age 68, who bore eight children. Only one of her children is still alive today, a daughter named Olive, age 30.

For well over a year, I have spent much thought considering what it really means to see the face of God.
