Mission in Brazil has revealed an important truth: God often works in unexpected places and through ordinary moments. From Ubers and grocery stores to family dinners and street conversations, opportunities to share the Gospel are everywhere. Reflecting on the parable of the sower, this testimony explores how faithfulness in planting seeds—rather than immediate results—has transformed one missionary’s understanding of evangelism. In a culture shaped by many beliefs and distractions, God continues to soften hearts, open doors, and bring hope in ways we may never expect.

Arlinda Sá Souza had a dream over thirty years ago as a new Christian in Brazil that God is still using in her life today.

“Passion for the Americas” was the theme of the Caminemos Juntos 2017 conference, a conference with more than 200 Anglican representatives from North, Central and South America held in Recife, Brazil, with the goal of catalyzing mission and church planting throughout the continent. This second annual gathering of Caminemos Juntos in South America brought clergy and a diversity of lay leaders from more than 9 countries together.

I’d heard testimonies and stories, but after experiencing firsthand what must be one of the most dynamic groups of Anglican churches, I’m more excited than ever to gather together in Brazil later this year.
