Anglican Introduction to Missions 2nd Edition Available Now!
People gathered in churches, homes, and on Zoom from all over the world to come together to learn more about missions using the first ever Anglican missions curriculum. Over 500 copies of Anglican Introduction to Missions (AIM) were sold in the first eighteen months it was available on Amazon. Customers in the United States, Canada, Germany and as far away as Japan invested in the first edition of this curriculum
Bearing Fruit
We’re grateful that the Lord has been using Anglican Introduction to Missions (AIM) curriculum to spur both prayer for the nations and a passion for missions among those who participate in the course. The curriculum has been instrumental in the sending of workers to the field in addition to opening the eyes of many in our congregations to the remaining task of global evangelization among the least reached people groups of the world. This curriculum, introduced at Provincial Assembly 2024, has been bearing fruit in churches and dioceses across the Province and is now available on Amazon as an updated second edition.
Changes & Updates
The first change to note in the new edition is that the “Teacher Guide” is now called the “Leader Guide,” and the “Student Book” is now the “Workbook” of the curriculum. In addition to correcting formatting and typos in the first edition, the second edition Leader Guide now includes the page numbers in the Workbook where shared information is located. While the first edition included text boxes in the Teacher Guide to indicate where the two books shared information, it was sometimes necessary to note the page number in the Student Book to ensure that instructors and participants were viewing the same information. This can now be done at a glance rather than flipping between the new Leader Guide and Workbook.
Most significantly, Lesson 4 has been reworked to reflect an updated video about Frontier People Groups. This updated and improved lesson will also be available on the New Wineskins AIM resource webpage as two standalone PDFs for both the first edition Teacher Guide and Student Book so that first edition users can access the updated lesson without purchasing new books. Other changes include a shift in nomenclature from the previous “Global Mission Initiative” to the current Global Missions Advocates structure and the shift from the organizational name, Anglican Global Mission Partners, to its new name, New Wineskins Anglican Partners. While the AIM first edition will remain available for purchase on Amazon, we hope that both seasoned and new curriculum users will choose the second edition to take advantage of these updates.
Our Prayer
It is our prayer that the AIM 2nd edition will continue to help people find their role in the great commission whether it be sending, going, supporting or praying so that name of Jesus is taken to the ends of the earth.
