Call to Mission: A Pastoral Letter from the Archbishop

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

In Isaiah 12:4 we read, “In that day you will say: ‘Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name; make known among the nations what he has done, and proclaim that his name is exalted.’” I know that in our churches we are giving praise to God and proclaiming his name, but are we making known among the nations what he has done, so that all peoples can proclaim, with us, that his name is exalted?

World Mission Sunday

World Mission Sunday can be celebrated at Pentecost!

This is a special day designated each year for us to publicly and corporately renew our commitment to the worldwide missionary movement. God’s heart is for every people group to worship Him and to know Christ’s saving and redeeming love by the power of the Holy Spirit. We are God’s "Plan A” for accomplishing this mission to take the Gospel to the ends of the earth, and as you’ll learn in our featured video below, there is no "Plan B!” God wants to use each of us to reach out to others, both locally and around the globe!

Many congregations celebrated on Feb. 19. If you haven't yet, we hope you will plan for, promote, and then celebrate World Mission Sunday sometime this year, using some of the excellent resources we offer below!

The ACNA and Anglican Global Mission Partners (AGMP) have teamed up to provide you with helpful resources to help you highlight global missions.

We’ve edited one of the best New Wineskins conference talks ever given into a 26 minute video resource. It’s excellent and features Gary Haugen, Founder & CEO of International Justice Mission. This video will not only inspire, but will also challenge your parish to become more active and effective in God’s Global Mission.
