Global Mission Advocates: Coordinating Global Mission Engagement

The vision Archbishop Foley Beach cast in 2014 continues to grow today through dioceses, congregations, and faithful leaders who believe the Church is called to take the name of Jesus to the ends of the earth. We are thankful for the work of the Global Missions Advocates. If you are interested getting involved in global missions, reach out to your Global Mission Advocate!

God’s Global Mission and the Local Church

I can personally testify that the church’s involvement in global mission is life-giving to the sending church. At CTK because of our cross-cultural worker relationships our prayer life is more vibrant, our vision is keen for the lost, and we are reminded weekly that God’s purposes are global.  Regular communication, prayer, and advocacy for the unreached have changed the way we worship and the way we think about our own community. Not all are called to go, but all of us are called to participate in God’s Global Mission.

The Power of Language & Culture Acquisition Ministry

While all believers are on mission, the how and where look differently. Some are called to leave homes, land, and families and go to distant places. This usually requires learning a new language and adapting to a new culture. If you’ve never tried it, this is not an easy task! It can be quite humiliating and overwhelming even for those who enjoy the challenge; and not all do. This definitely requires the Holy Spirit’s power! I would suggest that it is also a perfect opportunity for the Body of Christ to respond to Jesus’s command by offering support to the cross-cultural missionaries’ language and culture learning.

A Friendship Across Faiths- Discovering God Together in Southeast Asia

When I first arrived in Southeast Asia, I longed for connection—someone who understood not just my language, but me. God answered that prayer through an unexpected friendship with my coworker Asma, a refugee from Myanmar. What began as shared conversations about culture and life soon deepened into honest discussions about faith, as we began reading the Bible and the Qur’an together, exploring stories of prophets like Adam, Noah, and Moses. Along the way, I’ve been challenged by her perspective, humbled by our differences, and reminded of God’s holiness, mercy, and pursuit of humanity. This journey has become more than a friendship—it is a prayerful hope that, through curiosity and trust, she might one day come to know Jesus more fully.

My Apricot Teacher and the Fruit of His Sacrifice

Each year, when preparations for Easter begin, I find myself feeling a mix of great joy and great sorrow. The Easter season is of course a time of great celebration for Christians, where we rejoice in the completed work of Christ through his resurrection. For me, it is also a time when I remember the loss and sacrifice of some of those brothers in Christ who came before me.

Anglican Introduction to Missions 2nd Edition Available Now!

Anglican Introductions to Missions 2.0 is now available! We’re grateful that the Lord has been using an Anglican Introduction to Missions (AIM) curriculum  to spur both prayer for the nations and a passion for missions among those who participate in the course.  The curriculum has been instrumental in the sending of workers to the field in addition to opening the eyes of many in our congregations to the remaining task of global evangelization among the least reached people groups of the world. This curriculum, introduced at Provincial Assembly 2024, has been bearing fruit in churches and dioceses across the Province and is now available on Amazon as an updated second edition.

Meet Jeremy, Our First Associate Director!

I have not always been an Anglican, but my heartbeat has been connected to the Nations ever since I can remember. As a teenager, I made a faith pledge to God: Go anywhere, Do anything, Speak to anyone, Give anything I have to make Jesus known. God really took me up on that commitment, and my escapades for Jesus commenced.…
