What guidelines will help a cross-cultural partnership with a sister church “foster and increase meaningful relationships and ongoing mutual interaction for the furtherance of the Gospel and mutual growth in Christ?” Originally developed for AMiA/Rwanda Sister-to-Sister Partnerships, these general understandings are essential for escaping the giver/receiver dependency model.

Money and gift-giving can create problems in an overseas partnership. What are some principles and practices to avoid creating dependency, tensions, and misunderstandings? These down-to-earth practical guidelines were developed for AMiA and Rwandan churches and are very helpful anywhere!

What are we shooting for in church-to-church overseas partnerships? Relationships, which is much more just funding projects. These core principles developed for partnerships between AMiA churches and churches in Rwanda provide a partnership paradigm widely applicable to global partnerships anywhere!

A few of the main passages of Scripture (from Genesis, Chronicles, Psalms, Isaiah, Daniel, the Gospels, Acts, Romans, and Revelation) that highlight God’s heart for the world… In other words, from beginning to end!

This chart is a very useful tool to see what your congregation is already doing in worship, evangelism, social service, social action, and presence—in Jerusalem (your city), Judea (your diocese or state), Samaria (cross-culturally in this country), and to the ends of the earth (internationally). . . And what more could be done! The ends of the earth are too often neglected!
