Jenny and/or Sharon would be delighted to come to your church or diocese to speak, preach, or do a Mission Awareness Seminar.

Jenny Noyes is the new Director of New Wineskins Missionary Network! Jenny is well-known for her work helping Alpha courses to spread throughout the United States over the past 25 years. After helping to coordinate the Hope and a Future Conference in 2005, she became the Coordinator of Communications and Evangelism for the Anglican Communion Network, hosting 11 "Sharing Our Faith" conferences with the Rev. Dr. Michael Green. She’s lived overseas and directed evangelism, missions and outreach at Christ the Redeemer in Centreville, VA from 1996-2005. Jenny and Sharon will be working together for the rest of 2016.

Sharon Stockdale Steinmiller, now Director Emeritus, directed New Wineskins Missionary Network from 1994 until April 2016. She has spoken in churches and dioceses around the country, as well as at the first “Plano” conference, and the Hope and A Future conference. Before starting to work with New Wineskins (formerly ECMC) in 1987, she taught English to businessmen and university faculty in China from 1981 to 1985, where she and her teammates were the first Christians most of their students had ever met. Between 1986 and 2009, she helped train more than 200 American and Canadian Christians to teach in China. Before going to China, she taught English to refugees in California and worked as an international student specialist with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship.

Mission Awareness Seminars: God's Kingdom is growing around the world today in ways unprecedented in history. What is happening behind the daily headlines? What part can your church play? A New Wineskins Mission Awareness Seminar will stretch your church’s vision for mission around the world and what your role can be at home and abroad…

  •  What are God's priorities for the world and the Church? We'll give you a glimpse of what God has been doing from Biblical times until the present.
  •  What are the opportunities? We'll introduce you to avenues for work as partners in mission with developing national churches and take you to the  frontiers where Christ has never been named.
  •  How can your church have an effective outreach locally and all the way to the ends of the earth? We can help you set priorities and enable you to plan the next steps to a growing ministry in the U.S. and overseas.
  •  What are your specific needs? We can adapt the seminar to fit your concerns. We can focus in on new strategies in world missions, developing a missions committee, Anglican/interdenominational missions agencies, effective holistic ministries, reaching out to international students, and unreached people in the U.S. and around the world.
  •  What will it cost to hold a Missions Awareness Seminar in your Parish, Diocese, or Convocation? Transportation and hospitality for the leaders (New Wineskins staff are happy to stay in a home), plus an honorarium ($500 suggested). Seminars usually run Friday evening and Saturday day, with preaching Sunday if desired. Give us a call at 724-266-2810!
